Medicine for the Whole Person. Equity for the Whole Community.

The Nourishing Medicine Program is a first-of-its-kind monthly education series designed to bridge the gap between clinical science and health equity. We empower healthcare teams and families with evidence-based nutrition and lactation strategies that work in the real world.

Bridging the Gap:

  • For Providers: Earn monthly CE credits (MD, RN, RD, SW, IBCLC) through interprofessional, equity-focused clinical training.

  • For Families: Access practical, expert-led workshops and "one-page" guides to navigate your health journey with confidence.

Our Philosophy: Education as Equity

At Pea Pod Nutrition, we believe that nutrition and lactation support are not just "wellness" topics—they are fundamental human rights and essential pillars of clinical medicine.

For too long, high-level health education has lived in silos, often failing to reach the providers who work in underserved communities or the families who need the information most. We created the Nourishing Medicine Program to break down those walls.

We recognize that a "one-size-fits-all" approach to health often leaves behind those in low-income communities, racial and ethnic minorities, and individuals with disabilities. Our program is built on the foundation of Health Equity, ensuring that every clinical strategy we teach and every resource we share is culturally sensitive, accessible, and actionable.

Why We Are Different

  • A Unified Voice: We don’t just train individuals; we train teams. By bringing together physicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and lactation consultants, we foster a collaborative environment that mirrors the reality of patient care.

  • Evidence-Based & Community-Validated: Our curriculum is led by renowned experts who translate complex science into the "Nourishing Medicine" that patients can actually use in their daily lives.

  • Continuous Growth: Through our monthly programming and mentorship opportunities, we provide a lifelong "Community of Practice" rather than a one-time seminar.

Our Vision for 2030

Our journey began with a simple goal: to ensure every provider feels confident and every family feels empowered. By 2030, the Nourishing Medicine Program aims to be the national gold standard for interprofessional nutrition and lactation education, serving as a catalyst for systemic change and improved health outcomes across the country.

Join us as we redefine what it means to nourish a community.
